It's really not that challenging a job if you follow the tips above, I've done it 3 times now. Once was to replace the screen wash tubes, once to sort the heater quadrant, and once to tighten the nuts that keep the penny washers tight up against the screen frame/bolts (which weren't tight and were rattling). Why the wiring is so short is beyond me, just an inch or so extra would make removal a whole lot easier. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but when you are dropping the dash do it with the doors carefully propped open, or you may end up poking the corners of the dash into the door trims. The most time consuming job was finding the tiny black screws that keep the under-tray in place, and which have a magnetic attraction to floor carpet......
