I do hope they see sense and let them thru.
But we do seeming to be heading back to the more difficult times, eg when the UK although had been exporting into the EEC when a member of the EEA, UK upon becoming an EEC member, suddenly France enforced a requirement for certificate of origin, to block UK 's growing exports into France, for pure domestic protectionism reasons. It lead to the UK having to reintroduce the famous Kite mark on everything , the kite mark was subsequently replaced by the CE mark.
I do wonder whether more EU domestic protectionism is influencing customs actions.
