Always a quiet couple of days for us as Heathers brother passed away in Benin when he was39, the first we knew was a telephone call from the Dutch Consulate out there whom they were staying with at 0300 our time New Years day 30 years ago. RIP Jim.
At the time our 3 youngsters were still at home so the next morning I went over to his Mum's to break the news - one of the worst tasks ever.
