Today Billy the engnieer from Octopus is fitting our home charging point for my MG.
I have seen on some EV forums concerns over the new BSI proposed best practice guide for batteries installed at home PAS 63100:2024
Some saying your house insurance isn't valid etc etc. Others the batteries have to be put outside.

Based on this I chatted with my home insurance today to warn them I would charge my EV inside my garage & to double check they knew I had solar PV & batteries.
Their feedback was:-
"Charging points and solar panel's with batteries are all things we automatically
cover. We don't need to specify them on your home insurance policy as they are
covered under our policy terms for you."
This is with Privilige Ins. Of course other insurers might be different but I thought as a few of us on here have pv batteries & EVs this might help.
