Green stuff is probably the best for us light brake types, you can feel them bite from quite a soft application and its progressive the harder you press with no surprises! You are right about the pad lip left on the outside edge, I just snap it off and sand back flat. Really odd that this happens, perhaps they did this on purpose in order to prevent lipping on the disc, probably appreciated how much we were paying for them

Gary, If its any help I have found that if it's a piston jamming then usually the wheel won't spin easily by hand as the piston doesn't back off. This situation will get worse as time passes until eventually the friction causes heat to the disc, The disc expands and ends up giving you a steering rattle that is really quite violent.
