As I recall, the Bailey bridge was manufactured by Thomas Storey, an engineering company that became a part of the Acrow group of companies; as did the company I worked for many years, E.H.Bentall & Co of Maldon, Essex.
Back in the day the Acrow Group included Coles Cranes, Priestman Excavators, Adamson & Hatchett, (Containers), Demag, (Cranes/hoists) apart from the Acrow Engineering company that produced the famous Acrow prop, scaffolding etc. Those were the days when the UK manufactured things!
