I always carry self-amalgamating tape in my tool kit and it has gotten me out of a few jams. Obviously extreme care needs to be taken when dealing with a hot radiator and any repairs need to be left until it is cold.

However, setting radiators to one side, as a tape it can be very useful as a temporary fix and is worth investigating if you aren't aware of it and how it can be used.

Back to radiators, it is a shame to read that some Morgan cars are still suffering from this problem. Have the factory mentioned how they will approach this issue when cars are outside of warranty?

Thanks Simon. I forgot about the self-amalgamating tape.. very handy stuff. I have a roll in my workshop, so thats another one to carry in the grand tour...

Ref the radiator status for out of main warranty cars.. Morgan seem to be giving 24 months warranty for each radiator from time of replacement. So far ours have all failed within 18 months of fitting
