There's an electric truck out on test at moment on long haul runs with 40 foot trailer. Does about 600 km on a run. Doesn't seem much but as drivers hours are to be observed, it can be charged in the 45 min break and after the days journey.
Currently utilising the motorway charging stations - bit of pain at moment as needs to unhook trailer to gain access to the car charging points but if chargers are rolled out in the lorry parking areas....

Big issue again will be infrastructure - those EV charging stations take a huge amount of power, so you imagine trying to install enough HGV chargers...
