My son replaced the rear wheel brake cylinders and brake shoes on my 4/4. I ordered the parts from Cain Poulton, who provided excellent service as always. It's good that there are still dealers like this with expertise and fair prices. German Morgan dealers charge almost three times as much for the same product.
Although the wheels turned well on the lift, one side became very hot after a few kilometers and the wheel had more friction. At first, we couldn't explain it. I found the solution at Gomog. Lorne describes that you should grind off approx. 0.5 mm from one of the parts that is used to readjust the rear brake. That was the solution; now it brakes perfectly and no longer gets hot.
