Funny how we are all different... I love 3 rubbers!!!
But I certainly understand your view point of them being award to clean and corrosion.
There is a +8 for sale with 3 rubbers, and the wing looks wider, although it might just be the way the picture was taken. The wing width is governed by the wheels during build, this is why they are fitted during the early stages before the rolling chassis & tub goes into the tin shop, a trad Plus 8 with alloys will be slightly narrower than one with wires Jon, for the sake of accuracy that is not always the case - my gentle 3 tread giant has the optional (1999) Morgan Lightweight Centre Lock alloys which were a factory option at £1674.38 at the time.
