We got a Cooper S instead which is only 20 bhp less and still goes fast. Not much slower initial acceleration than the Ferrari was. But I am still trying to learn to love it. Very busy on the road and the electronics from "infotainment" to cruise control etc all work but arent half as easy to operate as those in the family Merc. Seats are almost as good as the Ferrari which was the most comfortable car we have had since an old Volvo back in the day.

Very valuable comparison there and useful to others in the choosing position.

During our recent SW tour Tim (Hamwich) joined us for the day at Yeovilton, I took the opportunity to ask him of his experience over the last 3 years of his brand new EV MINI ad all was very positive, given that he has storage capacity for the gains made during the daylight hours on his roof.

His running costs absolutely made me cry compared to my Plus 8 , especially upon returning from a day trip to Wales and return the MINI indicated to him an extra 20 miles range was available, so the battery performance would appear to be better than new.

It was quite an eye opener to me and extremely valuable quality information upon which to base a decision when the time comes to renew a daily..
