It's a case of trail and error to track down the drafts and put additional different size 'd' section piping or neoprene strips to reduce the gaps.. Always make sure you replace the side screens with the doors open/ajar so the seals tend to fit tighter when the doors close

I know it's often easier said than done, but don't try to be too precious with the car, enjoy it as much as you can for what it is, faults and all, consider it character. The more you use them the more they seem to reward you.

.Carrying blankets or towels is sound advice, sometimes a little inconvenient in the tight space but better to be prepared.

I'm sure some of the cabin noise can be reduced with some acoustic material placed under carpets etc.

The CX auto is a great choice, so easy to drive and very rewarding
