Apologies for the somewhat click bait heading, however I find it rather interesting the way the market values both financially and in terms of interest relative to both Marques is so very different.
I guess there were Morgan enthusiasts in business who took things a tad further, thinking of Rob Wells and others, but none to the extent that independent businesses took Porsche to where it seems to have been for quite a few years now... Though having typed that the MMC went some way in the Midsummer programme, which seemed to ruffle some feathers, but credit to them for that.
In terms of developing air cooled Porsches to meet modern-day expectations in the UK, it seems companies the likes of Rennsport seem to have built up a good business model...
Though having typed that, taking the cost difference right out of the equation I would not swap my old +8 for a 356, or even a an air cooled REAL 911..(-: There was a time a few years back when I thought to use whatever I could sell my +8 for to get me back into an air cooled 911, but fortunately the combination of a half hearted attempt at marketing it, and that I really dislike selling cars, resulted in me forgetting that idea totally...(-:
There is a second part to the 356 vid that I posted, but the vid production does not improve, although it provides more of an insight to the way they do things..
If you might have interest as to the way Rennsport do their thing :-
