I suspect a mechanical watch for those who have interest in such craftsmanship and design, may be similar to that of car enthusiasts in terms of the design variation appearance and sound of different internal combustion engines.. and likewise enthusiasts in both areas might somewhat less appreciative of the modern electrically driven alternatives...?
