If the scuffs are on the protective film, it can be testing. The surface is soft and so it is easy to make it worse. Start with something like glass shine, which should be alcohol based. Don't go mad. Don't generate heat. Use a microfibre. Then move on to a Polish, not a wax. Polish has low level abrasives. After that, possibly white spirit, and then progressively more abrasive, such as plastic polish, but always slow and easy. Sometimes the surface damage is beyond saving and will need a new application.
