Going back to the Caterham v Morgan debate, I have to confess to a vested interest, having owned numerous Caterhams, including a 21 for over 40 years and, to date, I am on my 5th Morgan, a 2 litre CX in the last 15 years. I moved over to the Morgan marque mainly because I was finding it difficult getting out of a Seven with damaged shoulder tendons, I couldn't get out a bath either, without turning onto all fours, for the same reason incidentally.

I do have a recently acquired older Seven in the garage too, which I am hoping to do a few miles in when summer gets here. I think we are talking about horses for courses and shouldn't be comparing a stripped out road goimg track car with a relatively comfortable cruiser weighing twice as much and that the journo. in question was just looking for an 'angle' to write from.

So perhaps there is actually no real story here?
