Thank god,i am not the only one who has problems with scanners and part numbers,my first encounter was with o2 sensors which i tried to replace like for like. I dont know what was worse getting them out,one was stuck solid,or two getting someone to recognise the part number which was fae 77350 from memory.Iwas told these didnt fit my 4.0 car but were for the 4.6.I couldnt get them anyway and paid a premium price for lucas ones. Most of the big part suppliers either dont recognise my reg number or their websites are only set up for land and range rovers and exclude morgans.Trying to get the proper corresponding year for a 4.0 gems range roverp38,discovery or land rover defender isnt easy but i have now got it almost right. I put the year in for year range etc rover and hope for the best, giving them my vin number sometimes throws a spanner in the works.melvyn rutter sells a lot of old spares and i have bought from him but i also try to buy from two major outlets on the internet and one on the island just to save time and a bit of money. My o2 sensor light would come on sometimes if i put the local texaco e5 in,but i took your advice and filled it up with shell on a trip down to brands hatch morgan,by the time i got there the light had gone off, there are no shell garages on the isle of wight so i do the 45mile round trip to tesco to fill up with their momentum petrol and have had no problems o2 wise since, what used to use3 gallons but since the remap is just over 1 and a bit...with what i have spent on the remap etc i should get my money back in about 200 years...what a bargain
