I have not seen anything about an upgraded charging system, can you provide more information? Not really had any issues with the charging system since the rectifier/regulator was moved to the chassis mounting from the engine, a big reduction in vibration damage. The battery capacity does need to be good to crank the X-Wedge over. The standard Banner battery is very borderline even when new.
