As it's a workhorse of a trailer and I don't have the time for proper prep and spraying I thought I'd give Cooperman's suggestion a go .... it was really badly weathered, dull matt and patchy ... as it is a black trailer, and I had a choice, I used black waxoyl thinned 50% with white spirit .... rubbed into the surface and then buffed off when dry ... quite hard on the arms but cheap and quick. Wouldn't recommend for smartening up the Roller but it ended up with a nice even satiny finish ... blackness restored and surprisingly pleasing looking.

In the pic the central section is as it was and both front quarters after waxoyling ... certainly good enough to avoid unwanted scrutiny as it goes by.

Will see how it lasts, but don't mind doing it every now and then if needed.
