Guys,
We just have to accept that the "Green" agenda of hybrids and batteries etc is currently a political issue and the car-makers responses are also purely political. In time, perhaps, there may be a solution to carbon fuels, but at present it is just NOT there. The current hybrids and plug-ins are "greener" in operation, but definitely NOT greener over there full life from manufacture to death!!
I expect it will take a load of this Bullsh*t to go on for a while until there is a real solutio.
Perhaps Morgan may get there with the (almost forgotten) Life car project ----now where has that gone????????
