Metal bonding adhesive will be fine as long as you make sure the reinforcing piece follows the profile of the wing area you are strengthening as it retains an amount of flexibility, if not you could create a worse amount of point loading than the item being fixed. If you can't achieve this then JB weld would be a better choice as it will profile the reinforcing piece accurately to the area applied.
