Many years ago my good married friend was his Chauffeur but he ran away with their cook !! Must have been a bad weekend for the Bamfords, taxis and takeaways (although back then they were not a thing) Only saw him once more, parked up outside Harrods, chauffeuring some Arab Princess.
That was a sad story on many levels for us but I guess life…….

PS ..had a Methodist minister friend, Ric the Vic: stay with us with a mixed group of friends and somehow left his wife and ran off to Australia with a woman in the group..I seem to have a bad effect on friends relationships !?
