It is very helpful to know that others haven't run into this even in mid-30s ambient temps. That certainly points towards a specific component or thermal tolerance issue unique to my car rather than a universal platform bug.
My local dealer is currently investigating the issue further and is scheduled to give me an official update on August 24th. I will make sure to update this thread as soon as I hear back from them.
