Any advice would be much appreciated

My Morgan has a strong and somewhat heavy fibreglass case which can be fixed to the rack with four stainless screws nuts and penny washers using "P" clops which fit round the bars of the rack to hold it in place in such a way as to be beyond the scope of the average walk by thief thinking to cut straps and make off with it... On the down side the case is finished in the same colour as my Morgan and with Morgan wings emblazoned on it , which is nice however lugging it into a hotel is no fun risking damage to the paintwork given it`s combined weight when filled with kit..

Quite often if staying for just one night when touring I just made use of straps to hold it to the rack, rather than mess around removing the screws and nuts etc.. Idealy with such a case I suspect soft bags which can fit inside the case would be the best way to go if such a case might be thought worthwhile.

The case was well thought out relative to it`s overall dimensions in order that it did not block rearward vision through the interior mirror, in that the mirror could be adjusted up it`s pillar to suit. also that the case did not obstruct any of the lighting, was lockable and could be stood on the ground without risking damaging it`s paintwork as it had stand off`s fitted, The only thing it did not have was an extending handle and wheels, but then you cant have everything...(-:

The case was designed by the chap who nut and bolt restored what was his Morgan at the time, he even trimmed the interior of the case with the same finish as the Morgans trim..
