I guess that fat steering bearing is part and parcel of the Rutherford system! As Richard has said, if you had gone for SSL instead, then full adjustment would be available. But having said that, what you ended up with, was perhaps not to be expected.
However, for me, certainly in a plus 4, extra ground clearance is always a blessing and from your photos, it doesn’t look at all bad.
Springs will settle a little bit after a few thousand miles but probably not by an inch.
