I agree. But would it not be possible to Request an old style dash as part of the bespoke service. After all Morgan talk of the "endless" possibilities of a bespoke Morgan and there would seem to be no technical problems to fitting a different dash. As matters currently stand that awful dash is a deal breaker for me.
I tried to get the pre 2008 dash when I ordered my plus4 in 2008. The new dash had just been introduced but I got a firm NO from MMC.

But it could be different now. Back then the new dash was introduced across all 3 Trads. Now, two of the Trads still come fitted with the same dash as the old Roadster. Should just be an easy switch. And the customer is supposed to be king when it comes to a bespoke Morgan. The other option is of course an MK aftermarket dash, but I resent having to pay extra to put Morgans botched job right. The more I think about these issues the more I think I will go with the sweet and feisty Plus 4. Before this the Roadster was a definite sell for me, but no more.
The nightmare scenario would be if Morgan decided to introduce the new Roadster dash across all Trads.
But I don’t think that will happen. Morgan seem to think the new dash is a unique selling point for the Roadster and something to distinguish it from the other two Trads
