As some will have noticed, a new +8 appeared at Prescott for the Easter Saturday competition meeting, kindly brought along by Richard (RedMorgan). After racing was complete (finished early) the opportunity was taken to get some photos of the +8 and Greg D-S's 3W.
Richard then kindly took me for a run "around the block" - probably some 8+ miles, via Greet, passing Alderton, Teddington Hands, and back via Gotherington, 30% narrow country lanes remainder good A & B roads.
Impressed, I certainly am! Car sits very nicely, whatever the road surface, easily coping with the rougher country lanes we travelled. On smoother roads, like any Morgan, the car was an absolute delight. Performance, bearing in mind driving licenses and that we didn't want to wake too many locals (those 4 rear exhausts do sound "The Business"

) is in the words of Rolls Royce "adequate" - who am I kidding? Phenomenal is a much better choice. The seats, while bucketed, are not too narrow for my girth and I felt I could have sat there and navigated Richard on a round Britian tour - not sure he'd have liked the fuel bill though

.
Want one? - If I remortgage the house, sell

for some camels (I'll probably get more for the camels

) and liquidate some other assets I'll join the already some 80+ orders already taken (Greg D-S estimate). Actually, I'd be better selling the house and buying a large garage with a flat above - there is No Way this car will fit down the present driveway...
Come on Premium Bonds, about time I got some real investment return

Thanks for the experience Richard...
