Yes we're very lucky
One of the good things about life over here is that car clubs are not restricted to a certain marque - everyone is welcome from a Mini to a Ferrari!
Regarding our repas, it was in a little village, Marcillac le Franc, just outside La Rochefoucauld (famous for it's impressive chateau) - no oysters I'm afraid, but a melt-in-the-mouth Boeuf Bourgignon!
