Quite true. For that reason I still rely on Bosch L-Jetronics. Only 5 sensors, easy to tweak on the road (where fuel quality so often varies), no cats, no lambdas, a wealth of parts available everywhere for nothing (longest used EFI system in history) and a simple multimeter tells all.
