I have made another small mod. over the w/e which may be of interest. When lifting the back and removing the plastic wheel cover, I have always been surprised that there is no form of mudguard covering the entire rear wheel, to stop muck being sprayed all over the inside of the rear section, so I have made an aluminium wheel cover, about 9" wide, and bent into a gentle curve. I have fixed the front end to the small appology for a mudguard, with a couple of small nuts and bolts, and at the rear, I have screwed a bit of twisted flat bar from side to side, and then drilled the bar and ali. guard and used another couple of nuts and bolts to secure it. It now looks neat, will fit under the plastic cover and, hopefully keep the spray within the wheel circumference, though I won't know until I take it out in the rain of course.
