He can adjust the clutch pedal for height or cut a new pushrod length for the slave which are
the only adjstments possible. But if they both worked fine for many years and still do for all
other gears, why would either be a factor now? Most he can do in that area is to make sure his
fluid is fresh and all air bled.

It sounds like a problem with his remote. Seems the remote must be adjusted to permit proper
access to the reverse position.
