Drove from Taunton to Solihull this afternoon - 130 miles, exactly 1/4 the number of miles done by the previous owner in the last 12 months!
12-yr old daughter in the passenger seat, loved it, top down despite the grey cold weather, didn't get cold, didn't even wear a hat. A thumbs-up from her!
Put some injector cleaner in, and filled up the tank, now purring along nicely after more of a blast than i think this poor car's ever had. 70 mph on M5/M42 most of the way. However one little problem - the "battery" warning light came on, implying a charging problem. Voltage was OK, so stopped to have a look - alternator belt still there (!) - pressed on to our destination so that I wouldn't have to drive in the dark with lights on and drain the battery. Warning light went out on arrival - why? Any ideas? I have to drive another 180 miles tomorrow back home and would prefer not to have to call the AA!
