Hi Ken,Just fitted a pair of Librands door checks two days ago (together with a foot locker). On my 2009 mod, an easy job. Later versions are much easier, since you don’t have to struggle to fit new long bolts&nuts through the door post.
First I took off the leather strap. Take care, as Dave says, to protect the door/wing when opening the door. Then I used a 3mm drill to make the old holes in the door up to 30mm deep. The new door checks are marked with a tiny sticker (on the bracket to go on the door), so you can find the right one for the right side. Then dismantle the door check by taking off one of the vertical bolts (with the clear plastic tube around). Fit the bracket on the door, with the new and longer wood screws. Get the bracket aligned. Then fit the door check on the door post. Do not over tight the bolts here, since you need to do some minor adjustments later. Align the bracket on the post. Reassemble the door check by fitting the vertical bolt again. Carefully close the door and finish the work by adjusting the bracket on the door post and the tightness of the vertical bolts.

I took me some 20 minutes per door. On older Morgans, it takes more time to fit the door checks on the door post as you need to take off trimming etc.
This is for sure a “must have item”!
