Hi again, I suppose yours are already assembled? If so, there is a RH and a LH. The nuts should be on the bottom. Also the tiny sticker should be on the bracket that fits on the door. The bracket on the door should be fitted so the sticker will be on the side nearest the door handle. All this is clearly written in the instructions from Librands. There is quite some stress on the bracket that fits on the door, so I highly recommend to follow the instructions given from Librands: Redrill and fit the new screws. Torstein
Hello again I mounted mine this morning and they were actually easier to fit than one of the quarter panel protectors. I got a lot of help from you guys in this thread Ken.

Just an odd thought. I have looked at the possibility of fitting doorchecks to my '92 4/4 but as I don't have the metal scuttle bar I have not. I am ok with the leather straps but checks would be a nice addition. What scope is there to fit them to a standard framed car? I know that the metal bar will give a really solid anchor point but could they be fitted to a wooden frame? I will have to look at the internals to see the structure and what scope there is for adding a mounting plate or similar as this would be better than to the frame direct. Has anyone tried this?
The door checks are in my view a real benefit. They prevent the door closing on you (or your passengers leg/trousers), especially when parked on a slope. Well worth having.

Soaps , I fitted them to my previous car a 96 4/4. Just make up a 1 inch block of wood and then reverse the rounded part of the bracket and flatten it in a vice. Then proceed to fit the flattened bracket to the frame in the position of the leather strap in front of the door opening. Fit the bracket to the door as normal.
Works just fine.
Rob Wells has a detailed description of how this is done. He said he would market checks modified in this way, but I don't k ow whether or not he has. Ask him!!
