After reading Franks tour blog and the R100 register info I decided to fit remote for my tour of Europe, and it was so much easier than crawling underneath, giving me more time to enjoy the sights, food, & a beer !
Good investment to me

Dave, Not everyone welcomes the "Getting down and dirty" If you do - stick with doing so. However some of us welcome being able to use the remote greasing kit to make our lives easier and I think that if this is the case it makes sense to install the kit.
Scoffing at those who use the kit is not, IMHO, the way to go about this -- I think that there are horses for courses and this is one of those! I fully agree that it is necessary to check fasteners regularly, but it is definitely NOT necessary to do so each time greasing is required.
I get the sense that you are looking down your nose at the remote greaser as if it were "less than manly" so to speak and as if dire consequences would result. -- I have used it for some 30,000Kms and have found it useful and my car's kingpins are in fine fettle!!! so I think you should accept that it benefits some people and leave it at that. I fully respect it's not for you and have no problem whatever with that. As I said "Horses for courses"
Cheers!

I decided to fit remote for my tour of Europe, This is of course obvious use for the remote lubricating kit. I can not imagine how to handle the lubricating for long journeys with the help of a jack. Regards, Bosse

Anyone who has a liking for getting their grease gun out should buy themselves a Series 1 Land Rover, plently there to go at especially if you have TRE's with the grease nipples!

Old English White, red interior. The choice of colour if I'd ordered my 4/4 from the factory and could have specced the colour.
