Hi Wirewheel

That is something we could look into, or, if any customers know what their threads are, then we can add to the kit to suit at an extra cost.
Once we get some idea of other threads on the Morgans, we would be happy to help by putting adaptors in the kits to suit.
Its not so easy with the metric side, because most of our metric adaptors are, imperial female, metric male.
But the imperial side, 1/8"bsp, 1/4,bsp etc, can be easily rectified.
Any modifications to the original kits will incur an extra cost as mentioned, but I agree, its cheaper than the thread gauges.

Always willing to help with any questions or queries...

You can get thread pitch gauges from Axminster Tools for £3.30.

Wirewheel - glad to be of service smile

Elaine seems to have an exciting life, perhaps I should consider lubrication as a career. innocent

Dear all

I have been reading through the various comments regarding fitting remote lubrication nipples on the front suspension lubricating points.

Following on from the Nov 2013 Miscellany "Dear Charles" column, John Barber (MSCC 6951) has had fitted the remote Front Suspension Lubrication/greasing Systems and seems to be delighted with them.

Having stayed in one of Kerry and Rob Hammond's idyllic Dales Cottages and picked Rob's brains (They are also the main cause of my buying a Morgan with Janet, my other half), he swears by the remote mod and was just about to fit it to his second Morgan, a Plus 4. Rob puts in a couple of squirts every 2 to 300 miles.

This mod seems to have engendered a reaction similar to Marmite !! Either loved or hated. Even the mechanics at my local Morgan distributor/garage are split 50/50.

I would be most grateful to have any constructive pros/cons comments from members who have fitted (or not) this mod since the last entries on this topic, to help me to reach the "right" decision.

Thank you in advance

Not sure which model you have, but the remote kit normally supplied by my local dealer can't be fitted to my 1800 zetec 4/4. Something about an air intake component being in just the most inconvenient place. Perhaps there are alternative kits out there.

That is bulls**t. I actually designed the kit for the Nippleshop which was for my then car - a 1800zetec 4/4. If they cannot fit it to your car, change mechanics!!!!!

Cheers!

Robbie, are we sure all dealers use the same kit?
Roger.
