The Derbyshire Road Race Circuit That Never Was.

During the 1950's a Race was proposed on the public roads of the High Peak National Park, Derbyshire. For various reasons it failed to get permission and the plans were shelved. The roads however still exist and in July TORMOG ran a successful Scenic Run around the planned race circuit followed by Sunday lunch at the Centres hostelry.

looks like you had a great day for it. How many Morgans were there.

It was a great day with excess of fifty people attending.
The car park bathed in brilliant sunshine resembled a Morgan showroom with 27 models parked up varying from an early Flat Rad and a Three Wheeler, to more recent traditional Morgans and an Aero 8. We hope to do it again some time in the future.

Very good.
Perhaps you would be so kind as to post a reminder on here of your next meet date.
I would like to call by and say hello or join in the run (if allowed).

I did place an entry on the calendar regarding this run but it was a bit late. We were to have had our Centre Gymkhana but, due to bad weather it was cancelled and I put this Scenic Run together at very short notice. We will no doubt hold another next year around the same Road Circuit and I will be sure to publicise it well advance. Anyone wishing to drop in on our monthly Noggin will be made most welcome. Location:- The Bull I'th Thorn, (www.bulliththorn.co.uk) Ashbourne Road (A515), Hurdlow, Derbyshire. Time:- Between 1900hrs and 2300hrs on the first Thursday of the month.
If anyone is in the area at the end of August, call in on us at Chatsworth Country Fair (www.chatsworthcountryfair.co.uk)
