There appears to be two styles of interior door trim panel. One has a horizontal wooden trim half way down and the other doesn't. My car is one of the ones without the wooden trim bar.
My question is whilst I am having some trim work done would it be easy to change the styles of the trim panel to the one with the horizontal wooden bar. I guess I would need to buy the wood from Morgan, but is it possible.
Alternatively does anyone know where I could pick up some secondhand trim panels including wood. Not worried about the colour if the leather, but my wood is the light coloured version.
Thanks Andrew

Could we not sleep last night Andrew!
I think there could be more than 2 interior door trim designs on the S1 actually, my car has the wood that you are refering to but I have noticed a different leather design above that wood on some early cars. I don't recall seeing the design you are refering to, a photo would be nice.
I tend to like cars to remain as originally intended by the factory, personally I wouldn't mess with it but thats just me.

Out of the country in a different time zone.
I like originality too, but want the car the way I want it if easy. It would be original as Morgan intended, just not for my car.
The funny thing is there seems to be no tie up with age and there didn't seem to be an option box on the order form as to which design was wanted, just luck?

Hi Andrew
I cleaned the interior in my car today and was analysing the door trim, the wood is an integral part of the design so it seems. The leather is a different thickness below and above the wood.
Kind regards Chris

Chris,
Do you mean a part of the wooden door frame, with the trim panel being in 2 halves?
Thanks Andrew

No nothing to do with the frame, the door trim is a totally different design. Your door trim has round speakers set into it about where the wooden armrest would be positioned.
