I wish to refer someone to a previous posting in TM.
Is there some way to provide a link to it?

All posts have their own unique URL, for instance the one for your post above is: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/101991/Link_to_previous_posting#Post101991 so you can link to it just as you would any web page. Just go to the topic you want to reference, copy the URL from your browser's address bar and then paste it into your reply.

To make it neater you can switch to Full Reply Screen, click on the Create Link icon , copy in the URL and then type in a name for your link: Link to previous posting

The URL manifest itself in every post as a little square, book icon, to the left of the subject, topic.
(The number of the post is at the other end, next to the date as you now.)

It’s pretty much similar to other forum software. Sometimes one doesn’t want to refer to a thread, but a specific post within a thread. Right click the icon and select copy link, then paste it into the software, mail client etc. Or as Ian described, creating text links in the forum software.

(It´s of course also possible to copy the link to a post from a reply to said post, i.e. using the [Re: XYZ] at the other end of the subject.)
