Just getting car ready for its MOT tomorrow (before embarking on holiday).
Checking everything over and the mileometer (LCD type) is blank, it was working fine last week.
Any ideas on what this could be??
Thanks
Chris

Could you have set the trip meter? Try re-setting it and the mileage may come back.

Thanks - dont think its the trip i tried that and its also blank.
By blank I mean nothing not even a row of zeros !!
However on the bright side my MOT place has looked into it and they can test without a mileometer reading - phew.
I talked to Melvyn Rutters who think its the spedo head unit which is now unnavailable so will have to be taken out and sent back to some magic workshop for fettling - sounds expensive.
The saga of morgan ownership continues.

A salvaged unit might work.... I had something go on a readout a while back and the mileage was stored in the ECU, so a salvaged unit picked up the correct mileage immediately.

On the way back from the garage mileometer started to work again !!!
Must have a mind of its own.

Sounds like a typical Morgan taunting and playing games with you .

That must be a relief Chris. The suggestion to check connections is a good one, before sending the unit away...

Nice.
Must be a Morgan thing. Night before my Australian (WA) version I could not get hazards to work. Too late to cancel so I "gave them one last chance in the morning"; just worked then and have done ever since!
Thankfully the local "MOT" is a one off not annual....
