will this work? hard to have a test drive laugh

I like to 'kick the tyres' when buying

What does this give I wonder over and above what you can get on the internet

Many modern cars are so bland and uninteresting it really matters little whether you test drive or not - you could be in any one of several manufacturers / models...

'Fraid that doesn't help with the tyre kicking issue though... smile

Certainly difficult to feel the comfort or otherwise of the seats, if you like the position of the controls, and etc.

will after 3 days of visiting show rooms, what I would like would be far less of the BS from the sales men, as to the cars most over priced at dealerships due to the fact that most people who buy new or nearly new cars do so on the HP, and then can,t resell on the open market so the dealers can ask what they like.
as to the cars, the only one over the past few days that had any interest for me was the john cooper mini, what a pocket rocket, as to the rest, bmw, merc, etc all much the same bar the bmw having the better engineering. michael

Totally agree Peter.
Another thought that springs to mind is that unless they have loads of these screens, a customer is going to have to wait in line in order to get to see something they have come in for. Either that or they are going to have to sit in a class room environment and have the sales guy wade through the whole lot...must remember to take my sleeping bag...the whole thing bores me to tears.

I remember when Mercedes had a showroom on Park Ave in NYC. It was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The nerve of them to change it....

Oh my... the showroom on Park Avenue was designed for Jaguars, but Hoffman switched to Mercedes when completed. And it is still there... good...

i have seldom test drove cars before buying them. i figure most cars are a decent drive these days. so i read up on what takes my eye and then order one.Saves on salesmans BS.
Waiting for a VW Amarok (pickup) to be delivered at the moment.
Whats the worse that can happen?
