when looking at cleaning products there are thousands on the market and all range massively in price and also how good they are. When i look at products myself i look at what the expensive detailing companies such as:
http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/ http://www.miracledetail.co.uk/The Meguires products are great because they are easy to use and you cant cause damage to the paintwork. It depends on whether you have a solid Morgan paint or a metallic. the solids are soft so you can scratch the paint very easily if you use certain polishes. The meguires stuff is a clear coat finish and even the most unskilled cant damage the paintwork.
Autoglym products are good but i moved away from them a few years ago. Auto Finesse make very good products depending on paint colour, type etc. It depends if you want to use a paint sealant or a wax. I good quality wax will look after your paintwork for up to 6 months at a time but you need to pay £60 - £120 for a good wax. You can pay a lot more but i wouldn't advise it. i have been useing Auto Finesse Spirt as a wax. It has a 6 month protection life on it and will be longer if you keep topping it up.
I havent used Stardust Eclat but i would use a product like meguires ultimate quik wax. looks amazing on the car and increases the life of you wax.

1. WASHING
Removing loose contaminants on the top of your car's paint surfaces.
2. CLEAN / PREP
Removing bonded and embedded contaminants, blemishes and oxidation that washing cannot remove. This can involve clay baring the car and then using a paint cleaner and a light clear coat abrasive polish or paint correction.
3. POLISHING (OPTIONAL) This is not waxing
This is the key step for restoring rich, vibrant paint colour with sparkling, swirl-free high gloss. BEWARE: Not all products labelled "polish" are truly pure polishes. Some are abrasive and some are waxes. Be sure to know which is which!
4. PROTECTING
Applying a barrier coat of tough waxes, silicones, resins and/or polymers on top of the paint finish to repel contamination and oxidation.
5. MAINTAINING
Removing the daily accumulation of surface contaminants (i.e. fallout, diesel exhaust, overspray, hard water spots, tree sap, bird droppings) the instant they are discovered, before they have time to bond or etch into the paint finish. A Quik Detailer quickly removes fresh contaminants on the spot without scratching your paint finish. Carry it in your car for ready use. (Maintaining has become the most important step for keeping a sharp car looking sharp all the time.)
