Does this look like an old version of the Aeromax, or am I seeing things?

You can't tell from the pictures, but that little red emblem spells "Bugatti".

If that is real, that is probability the must expensive car we are ever likely to see on the roads.

I don't know if it is real, but it looks old, it looks restored. If I see it again, and I see the owner, and it's not driving I promise I'll ask him.

On the other side, there's houses and a church.

Nope! If it was my car I wouldn't give a damn if it was parked outside kentucky Fried Chicken ( as long as I didn't have to eat the cr*p)

Oh, but translated, it says "The King's Pizza & Burger House"

laugh

It's close to "Kongevejen" (i.e. The King's Road), hence its name.

Edit: Come to think of it, "Kongevejen" may actually be "The Road of Kings" - alas I'm not aware of the historical context.

Bugatti type 37 Atalante if it is a real one. A handful made and all are now in private collections barely turn a wheel and are worth tens of millions. I would assume this is (a probably still very expensive!) replica.

The talbots and the other French carrozeria cars of the period apex it's style and are all refence cars that Matt Humpries mentionedregarding his idea for the Aeromax.

While I love my max the original Atalantes and the Falachi designs of the 30s really underline the yearning of designers in the 30s to deliver speed and aerodynamics and a brave new future - despite aerodynamics as a discipline being somewhat underdeveloped. The whole ethos being that if it looked good it was good aerodynamically. The max is tipping it's hat to all these originals and owes it's shape, style and complete conception to these original shapes in my view...

Btw nice pics in he original post - would love to know that cars story!

Wow, at that price for a real one, I sure as hell hope it's a replica. The engine stunk like a real oldie, but at that price for a real one, it would be madness to drive it around. Even here in little Denmark. And even if people here, north of Copenhagen, seems to have more money than sense. I'm the exception: I don't have much sense, but I have even less money.
