Enjoy your trip, rain or shine (hood up, sidescreens out is great fun if it is raining hard)
On your way to North Devon it's well worth going via Taunton, Porlock, Lynton; rather than the link road via Tiverton. The road from Porlock is amazing.Just allow some more time.

Two nights in Rock????!!!! Aka, Islington by the sea!! hide

That A39 route is great. I've only ever done it going east to west though and that includes this latest visit. We did see two very nice Bentleys parked up in Porlock Weir. Got to chat to one owner just before they left - turns out he was from Painswick, just a few miles down the road from me! The Bentleys get used thumbs

So after just over 3 weeks of ownership have to report as follows:-
The car is great grin2
We have covered in the last 3 weeks more milage than the car has done in the last 2 years joy
Had a great week in Devon and Cornwall and never needed to put the roof up once sunny
Had the 2 short showers but managed to drive through them( need to remember to take a small towel to dry the inside of the windscreen in future). gloomy

Many thanks to Moragn in Truro for greasing my front end during my holidays

Only issue was that I have some small damage to the rear side passanger wing where a white van would not pull over and meant I connected with a stone wall.
Will get some touch up paint and get it sorted at the next service. banghead

After 3 weeks and 1,400miles still really happy and wondered what we did before, will admit it is more fun than a Caterham or Lotus. happy3

Sorry to hear about the mishap but sounds like this is greatly outweighed by the fun you're having.

I've done in the last 6 months double what mine had done in the last 15 years and its not my daily drive smile. Use them or loose them I say smile
