I am almost convinced and I'll go to buy the porsche classic radio next week.
If you would be so kind to take a couple of pics on where your nav receiver is placed, that would help.
Simon, if I remember right, was telling me that he has the receiver on the dash, in a corner. Somebody else on the rear shelf.

Done.  In the next days I'll try to take a pic of where I placed the microphone and the GPS antenna. Onlytwo drawbacks of this radio: a. FM tuner is much less sensitive than the Alpine b. The radio sticks out a lot (but it's part of it's design) from the dash and my wife, for instance, she does not like it too much.

Just picking up on this thread now, I really miss my Radio2 in the Max due to poor reception through the paper aerial, is there any gadget out there that can amplify the reception signal?

Dean, you could try something like this but I'm not sure where you'd mount in on the Max as I think you'll find the heated screen will shield the signal. Window Aerial or this might be better Hidden aerial This guy seems to have a solution to all your ICE need This'll work
