Nick: t may be an idea to look at the paint schemes of the cars on the Morgan stand at the NEC Classic. The cars chosen are obviously there by popular demand and consequently, whilst they may be out of the ordinary they are regarded as classic Morgan's and truly representative of the genre. love grin2

The Aero 8 will look particularly good, don't you think Phil?oops

When Bentley do it, it seems to evoke luxury and I do like it as it suits the car. The MMC version looks to me as though it has insufficient padding behind it and thus I agree with both Simon and Kin, as it does not look luxurious but a bit low-rent IMHO. frown2

If MMC get it right, then I would certainly consider it on my next Aero 8. read

Now I have to disagree on all counts ! Common or not, connaught green is fab. Indigo Blue with red leather is lovely. Also, my newly acquired car is in Jaguar Westminster Blue and I have yet to see a more regal and sophisticated hue, but I would say that !

Some two-tone works well - dark green with black wings for instance. Most don't though (not keen on that Ivory with Brown wings one).

Can't stand red, unless it's on an Aero.

And IMHO, silver doesn't work unless its on a Merc - Gullwing or SL190.

Not keen on black either.

And NO metallic paint finishes !

BTW, whoever owns that pink one in this months Miscellany should be shot at dawn for outrageously criminal acts to a fine English sports car !!!

The pink one is owned by a certain Mrs Rutter, I believe.

As the original post was regarding colour for a trad body, I have to say I like silver best of all (mine is Jaguar silver frost) though I do think red leather would be nice with it.

So many choices!

Nigel

As a close second to green, I suppose gunmetal would be rather easy on the eye, but not sure of the best interior with that - probably a very dark blue.

Also found a picture of a trad in what I think from memory was Audi 'Storm Grey' - that looks pretty good!

Gunmetal with berry coloured leather seems to be a current trend on the Roadsters.

How about yellow with black?

(This is the ex CM car with the Porsche lights. Most of you will know it.)
