My affection for Morgans may be morphing into a bigger desire for louvred bonnets.

I was particularly drawn to the Jaguar SS's at Goodwood this year. Anyone here ever owned or driven one?

I have never been lucky enough to see one in person, but this has always been one of my favorite Jaguar models. This is definitely on my WANT list, just a hope and a dream away.

We get a number of replicas at a Jaguar club day at Prescott... Lovely looking motors, but even the replica is out of my budget.

Oil leaks and louvres aside, it only has two windscreen wipers so the Morgan still wins for me innocent

I had a very interesting chat with the proprietor of Suffolk Sportscars, Roger Williams, at the Goodwood Revival. I have to say, I think their SS100 is a brilliant replica. Fully built up by them to a really good spec they are about £88K - a lot of wedge for sure, but a fraction of the price of a real one, and rather more practical. In any case, I'd want to buy the kit and build one myself - a project for my retirement perhaps if they're still making them in 15 years time.
