What is the best method of removing the unsightly old white polish residue from around the Morgan badge. Don't want to use a tooth pick for fear of damaging the paint, but a brush doesn't touch it. Is there a benign chemical that would work?

You could perhaps try a clay bar gently around the badge with a bit of lubricant.

A dab of WHITE SPIRIT on a soft cloth ( NOT TURPS ) and use cotton buds to get in to the awkward bits it will also remove your wax so you need to re wax . Yes its one of those jobs where you put it on to take it off to put it on . I use an ice lolly stick shaved at the end inside a duster its soft wood on the point so can get in to a tighter space and do no damage , or a bit of cotton off the bud on the end of it .

I have some old, soft toothbrushes and paintbrushes that are excellent for these tight areas. They remove the hardened polish very well without the need for chemicals. I have used Meguires Quick Detailer for a wet assistance too.

I knew I would get my leg pulled I even started to put on Steve dont you dare or I will stop sending you your educational e- mails . Then thought no he needs them !!!!!!. I crawled out from under the mog one day Finnigan's black under seal all over me inc my hair , black chassis paint on my face hands etc and I had rolled on a 2.5 L lid of red paint which was under the mog and I forgot about that was all over me as well ( still have the overalls they belonged to my late dad ) . My wife looked at me and called me a dirty disheveled tramp ran off when I tried to grab her for a kiss , no romance in women these days but at least she paid me a complement .I put Compo to shame.

JTL - Give me a chance, you've only just posted this, and I did have some work to do today before reading TalkMorgam.  (BTW - that is my 1st opportunity to use this icon) And yes, I have heard of 'turps'. Like others on here, I use an old toothbrush. I have a few of these that come in handy - clearing wire wheels etc. - My wife can not see why I keep our old toothbrushes

PANEL WIPE. see S2001 and S2002 listed under Thinners-Ancillaries, can be purchased in Aerosol too, but £ for £ the Aerosol works out very expensive. www.u-pol.com
