Hello All Time for me to say hello. Had my 1982 cvh 2 str 4/4 about a week now, its been a turbulent time, engine failure, rpm instrument failure, switches falling apart, side screens leave an air gap when butted up to the screen, and the vendor gave me scissor jack that doesn't fit in the tool space, MOT man complaining about the play in the steering, her ladyship reminding me I've spent a lot of money. Tomorrow I'm tracking down an ignition module, hoping to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I've thought of loads to do, chrome hardened king pins, mod to take out the oiler system, fit rear telescopic shocks, mulberry bearing kit, hi spec calipers, Gemma steering box, add more power, and there is more. Yet verily, she is not unlike her previous (Porsche 964), with sky all about, a shape to beguile, but nearer the bone she makes her pilot smile, she tucks in like 'gruntie' a clean pair of heals in turn, haste in spades balancing out those bends, and a picture to behold between the ditches with Sir Isaac Newton calling her away, yet a third of the power, but all the excitement. Have you noticed how people smile when you drive past? So still lots to think about, except all I really need to do is get her back out making people smile. I'd just like to say thank you to those guys who knocked up this web site. May all your roads run in Heaven. See you all down the log. I will post pics soonest, she is a lovely dark british racing green, rostyle wheels very period. Brgds Dave

Welcome to the Forum Dave. ALL questions answered here. Just yesterday a chap from the US joined. He has owned his car (ex Shiela Hancock's Morgan) for 35 years + and is embarking on his 3rd rebuild. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/105577/Re_Shiela_Hancock_s_Morgan#Post105577With the exception of 'side screens leave an air gap when butted up to the screen', "They all do that, Sir", everything thing else can be resolved. Things like telescopic shocks ALL round etc will make a great improvement, but all in good time. Anyway, you have already sampled the appeal of Morgans. I have had mind for 8 years this month, and it still bring that GRIN May yours never fail.

Hello All Thank you for the robust welcome, very gratifying. Carb cleaned, new coil and ignition module, timing properly adjusted, engine now with good throttle response and sweet to the ear. Still no tacho but hey. Will move this over to engineering, for those spell bound. Thanks again for the welcome.
