Gill's are indeed still there in Bedale and though no longer dealers I believe they still service Morgans.01677 423134.
I have not been to John Macdonalds since it changed to Beamish Morgan but will be going there for a service next month (and a valuation, funnily)

Insurance valuation update cost me £25 at Ledgerwoods last time. I'll be going elsewhere next time.................

Dave. If you require a professional opinion then I suggest you should expect to pay for it. If you were a regular customer giving them other business then I suppose they might feel minded to provide a complementary service. If you were to require my professional services (very unlikely) then £25 would just about get you the time it would take to walk around the car then sit and type out a certificate, and that would not include any of the overheads that I assume Mr Ledgerwood has. You don't get something for nothing these days even in the Morgan world.
Regards

I don't expect it for nothing Andy, but having spent quite a bit of cash there over the years, I do think that £25 for a signed piece of paper (provided by me by the way) is questionable. And in terms of customer loyalty and repeat custom, many businesses miss the bigger picture, and then wonder why regular trade moves elsewhere.
